Anyone know Mac's status? Can he go a full 90 so we'll see him out there against Watford? What will the lineup be for Watford?

RE: Injury updates and lineup for Watford

Not sure on the status of McBride for the Watford match. I am guessing he will be able to go.

As for others, I am hoping another week of training will help Papa regain some match fitness as he looked out of it on Saturday against that other SW6 team.

Boa and obviously Jimmy Bullard are out and perhaps Simon Elliott and Mark Pembridge will be missing as well.

The lineup will be interesting. I would hope we go for a bit more of an attack-minded approach to this match as Watford is not one of the Premiership powerhouses, but I am sure that will come down to who is and who is NOT available for selection.

I agree Tom...I'd like to see more of an attacking team if possible depending on injuries. Vicarage Road will not be an easy place to play, so hopefully we can get some luck to go with us.

Watford's counterattack seems pretty respectable, or at least worth respecting. However, their defense appears equally suspect.

Sowhat do we gather the formation should be, 4-4-2, with a defensive midfielder?

Or do we stick with the 4-5-1 which has been holding up pretty well during a competitive September?

i think it depends on who is available. If Mac can go 90, I think we should opt for a 4-4-2 with either CJ or HH up front with him. I like the idea of having Routledge and Volzey running up the wings and crossing to B-Mac and HH.

I think you have to pin the Dirty Yellows back. I think you need to spread their defense and take the fight to them. They've got an outstanding CF in Marlon King, but I think he's the only true Premmie in their attack. If we lay back, however, and take the pressure off their defense, we'll be in trouble, because both their center-backs and both their full-backs like to attack.

If we have 2 forwards ready to go for 90 minutes then we must play a 4-4-2 and John deserves to play upfront. Mark my words that he is due for a goal and he'll look at this match as the perfect opporunity.

We still cannot afford anymore injuries and I'm hoping Boca and Brian are ready to go.

Don, with all the traveling you do, a SlingBox might be a good thing for you to get. In essence, you can watch tv from your home television through your computer on the road anywhere in the world. It is $200 and there are no monthly fees.

agree....that's one reason I really like Reading...they play attacking football all the time. They are very entertaining to watch. I actually ordered their kit too. So now i have my Fulham kit, and my second favorite team Reading

Here's an injury update, that has nothing to do with this match with Watford.

    From: TeamTalk
    Bullard undergoes knee surgery
    Wed 27 Sep, 3:00 PM

"Fulham midfielder Jimmy Bullard has successfully undergone surgery by the world's top knee specialist Richard Steadman in America this week.Bullard suffered serious ligament damage following a challenge from Scott Parker during the 2-1 victory over Newcastle and is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The former Wigan midfielder will remain in the USA for approximately 7-10 days before returning to Fulham where he will be assessed by the club's medical team prior to starting his rehabilitation programme.

Bullard is likely to be sidelined for around nine months, with the injury coming just four games into his Fulham career."

I would suggest we should start a Richard Steadman sponsorship, but something tells me he does pretty well sponsoring himself.

    Traitor! Just kidding.

There was a time I considered it. Actually got Hahnemann's signature on a Reading keeper kit I found on ebay, but gave it away. My final analysis, Fulham will be the only Premiership team of which I own a kit. They have my full allegiance.

Figured as much. Just had to bust your chops for a decision I had to make recently myself. Do like the blue and white striped kit though!

I hope Scott Parker saw this article. The boy was shattered at what happened to Bullard.

ED. UHH, this in response to PCB's post about bullard's successful knee surgery. I neglected to notice that it wasn't really the final post on the thread.

Dr. Richard Steadman is the same specialist who operated on Michael Owen. I should go visit my relatives in CO and roam around Vail...I'd be bound to run into an injured footballer awaiting surgery eventually.
