With Mondays individual performances in mind, who would you start? Hmmm...to start Claus, or not to start Claus, that is the question.

    Niemi

    Liam -- Knight -- Pearce -- Queudrue

    Radz -- Claus -- Brown -- Routledge

    Brian -- Heidar

    Bench:
    Bouba
    Volz
    Boca
    John
    Jan (keeper)

There is no reason why we can't come away with three points but in the end, I'll take a point. I do want to be that team that gives Villa their first loss. COYW's

I think you have to start Claus. He played so well, and Bouba didn't. The players have to know that if they play well, they will get rewarded.

I'm going to miss the Villa game on TV because I will be enroute to Detroit for the first game of the World Series. Go Tigers!

Mike, I like your line-up. Papa just isn't performing well right now and needs a rest.

BTW, I look forward to watching this match at Villa Park

I am so jealous of you guys! I'm just looking forward to seeing the game on TV.

I like Mike's lineup -- right through the bench, but I don't expect points from this match, certainly not three. I just want to see that terrier-like attitude at work, and I want the Villains to know they're in for a long day.

I'll be wearing my FUSA shirt -- the point getter -- and in the chatroom at kickoff. COYW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will be a tough match. Villa is playing well and I will be happy to come away with a point. It would be nice to be the first ones to hang a loss on them.

Claus should definitely start. I'd be surprised in Bouba is on the bench, but I agree he just isn't getting the job done lately.

As an aside, I think of Aston Villa every time I see Neil Goldman on the Family Guy. Note the "AV" on his hat. I have it stuck in my head that this is what all Villa supporters look like

Seemed like Claus was solid out there against Charlton but it's tough to say at this point whether he's fit for a full 90, and I tend to think you're painting yourself into a corner if you start a guy knowing that he's got to come off 10 minutes into the second half. Still, I'd like to think he is, and assuming so, my lineup is the same as what Mike suggested.

I don't see Claus being fit for a full 90 yet. So same starting line-up as we had for Charlton. Bring on Claus once the defense has been run ragged by Routledge, Radz, Helguson, and Brown. His touch and any lack of fitness will be more applicable then.

I agree with JimH and FFCinPCB. Also Boa could still be back for the game so it could allow us to start with one and swap for the other.

    Hillarious!!!

I just want to give some props to Radz...I think he played very well on the left and did a terrific job backtracking and helping Que. He's definitely in the lineup again, and I think you need to put Claus in for Papa. This is my lineup:

    Niemi

    Liam- Knight- Pearce- Que

    Brownie

    Rout Radz

    Claus

    HH B-Mac

I like the idea of Claus sitting behind the two strikers and feeding them some ammunition.

DCHeather, can I borrow your mega-size TV while you're gone? Just box it up and drop it off at UPS on your way to the airport. Thanks. :D Oh, and have fun on your trip!

I guess C.Jensen is the big question...start or come on as a sub?Whatever CC decides to do won't surprise me because there are good reasons to both start him and bring him on as a sub. I myself like AmericanMike's lineup and starting C.Jensen.

I'm not expecting a win, I'm just hoping for a draw. But really, who knows.

Sorry, Rumstove, it's not mine to lend out.

But thanks for wishing me a fun trip. Hopefully, I'll see Fulham pick-up 9 points. 8)

We'll make sure DCHeather sings and if she doesn't then we'll just leave her in the beautiful outskirts of BIRMINGHAM.

I have her ticket in hand so wish her luck...I truly hope her first Fulham match is a win but I guess the experience itself is enough to give you goose bumps. Away matches are full of only the most hardcore fans and the singing is usually non-stop and a bit more creative than home matches.

I do hope you're only staying for 3 League games...

That's cool about mega-size TV...it was worth a shot. Anyways, have a safe flight, have fun watching Fulham, and if you see Superhero Niemi tell him I say 'hi'.

Just as well. From the Offal:

"Papa Bouba Diop will not be available tomorrow as he is carrying a knock from Monday night. He has a problem with his thigh and I think its fatigue from international duty. It’s difficult for us and frustrating.

There’s no Bully of course and Boa and Philippe Christanval are also unavailable. Everybody else is available from Monday and we’ll also add Bjorn Runstrom and Gabriel Zakuani to the squad."
