    RE: Fulham rumours for January

McBride isnt a rumor... but he said he will quit US AFTER WC.

He said he wants to concentrate on club and family. But what club is not clear. If he's not playing much at Fulham.. and we know how Cookie is.. then I'm sure he'll be playing on the Fire.
As much as I'd love him to go back to Columbus, I dont think that will happen as the grandparents and other family are all Chicago-Land.

Wenger is a twit.. but I cant blame him. What Papa must consider though, is the playing time and whether it might be best to wait until he's assured starting.

    Fulham linked to Hearts Player

    Fulham watching Webster

"Fulham scout Ewan Chesters watched Hearts defender Andy Webster against Italy"

O.K., so does it annoy anyone else that we are already linked to this player for the JANUARY transfer window?! I'm having a hard time understanding how/why we didn't hear about this in the summer!!

Atleast, it seems, Ewan is doing his job!

Sam Sodje of Brentford says Fulham are gonna make a bid for him in January.

    http://footballmsn.skysports.com/list.a ... remiership

Now while we may need a CB getting a player from League 1 is not gonna help. What Fulham need is a player that can come in right away and do well not some player that has a 10% chance of doing well in the Premiership. Someone like Andy Webster a Scotland international or Onyewu.

Also Arsenal are supposed to want to bid 7 million for Diop. Diop should be like 12 million at least not some 7 million. If Arsenal say 7 million Fulham should reject the bid.

Fulham is once again rumoured to be interested in bringing Sean Davis back. The Fiver is reporting this interest. I would be happy to welcome him back to the Cottage. He is a solid midfielder and he would help the team out a lot. I am not sure how much money he would ask for, but I would not be surprised to see Fulham make a run for him in January if he continues to sit on the Tottenham bench.

    Would everyone welcome him back?

Sean Davis in my opinion is a quality player and I would love him to come back to Fulham and slot in beside Papa. Just imagine that- what a centre midfield.
He is a great box to box midfielder and has a lot of stamina and will score a few goals whilst doing the business on the defensive side of things.
There were a lot of occassions when I went to a Fulham match and it seemed Davis was the only player who never gave up and would run for us for 90 minutes.
There was never any doubt about his commitment and he played with a lot of passion.
Davis when he was at the club was my favourite player but as a result of him leaving I have started to really hate him- but if he were to come back I would support him.
Another thing is I always thought Davis should have been Fulham captain and in my opinion Boa isn't a captain so if SD returned I would look into having him at captain but he would have to prove himself first.

I read about that rumored future 7M Arsenal bid and then I read somewhere (probably BBC Sport pages) that Fulham has already set a price of no less than 8 million for Diop.

Coleman said today that he wants at least Saha money or maybe even more. but, he keeps saying that he dosent want to sell anyone and that Fulham is not an easy touch. Diop is class and IMO I think Arsenal are gonna buy Mavuba anyway so they wont really need Diop as Mavuba is gonna become world class like best 11 in the world. If Fulham sell Diop then Mavuba should be the first name on the list to come to Fulham.

diop and sd in midfield would be sweet. they're both dangerous outside of the box when defenders and keepers are sleeping. when was it that davis, inamoto and leggy all scored screamers from 35 yards out? it seems like diop makes at least 2 on target attempts every week.

According to an article I just read on the BBC's site, Chris Coleman has come out and said he has money to spend in January and that he wants to strengthen the squad. While I do not expect us to go out and sign a few world-beaters, it is nice to know we have some money. We might need some help and reinforcements in January. Here is a link to the article:

I think we need a right winger -- it's just not the place for Steed. Perhaps we could move him up to play in front of the midfielders and put balls through for Brian. He just seems more effective in a central role. Thoughts?

I'm not sure what to do with Steed. Last year he despised being on the wing but Cookie puts him there anyway.

I just don't see Steed being effective on the outside. Some like Liam, now he would be effective. As for moving Steed in front of the wings, I think it would be a good idea seeing as he would do well with the extra room and its a prime spot for a good distributor.

Fulham are set to join Arsenal in the chase for current Celtic Keeper and Polish international Artur Boruc in the Summer of 2006. Boruc is currently on a 1-year loan from Legia Warszawa with Celtic. Arsenal is reportedly interested in him.

As a fan of the Polish national team, I have seen him play a number of times. At 25, he is a good, young keeper with experience and I think he would do well in the Premiership.

Why don't we try and get Howard from united . It seems to that Howard is no longer given chances at United. INgeneral I think the team needs to get some more younger players. IN my opinion the jury is still out on John but maybe we should try and build around Diop and Boa.
