Back to square one I guess, but this time we have to play away, yet again. No one here should think that this will be easy. Derby will not make it easy and surely don't want to lose to us, whilst if our players aren't motivated on Saturday, then they never will be.

Saturday is a sad anniversary for Fulham supporters, it must be mentioned, and the players will be wearing black armbands in remembrance. This weekend will mark 10 years since the death of Fulham Fan, Matthew Fox, who was killed by a Gillingham fan when Fulham were playing away to them. I particularly mention this because a good friend of both Tom and I's, Nicky Gadd, (a local Fulham boy) was very good mates with Matt. With that said, the supporters will be well up for this and the players will hear only Fulham on Saturday.

It won't be the only supporters motivation to give all the support in the world to beat Derby...there's no love lost between us and Derby either, they royally screwed us once, as seen below:

I'd rather not give a starting lineup. I'll leave that to the pros...

I'm no pro, but I think the lineup should be as so ...

Stalteri --- Hangeland --- Boca/Hughes/Gooch if need be --- Konchesky

    -----------------------------Andreason------------------------------

    Dempsey ----------------------------------------------- Davies

    -----------------------------Bullard---------------------------------

    ------------------Mcbride-----------------------------------------

    --------------------------------------Johnson---------------------

I'm looking for a huge win at Derby. 3-0 with goals to Johnson, Davies and McBride.

I know I will come off as an unloyal fan with this comment, but if we can't muster a win against Derby, then maybe we don't deserve to avoid the drop. They have the WORST defense and have only managed 10 points all season. I will not accept a tie.

Sadly I will not be in the room with everyone, as my U12 girls start their season this weekend and my assistant can only manage a 1-3 practice. So I'll just have to DVR the game and watch it later.

    COYMFW!

On a related note, I fully expected us to be a top 10 team this year. I really did.

Mike thank you for starting this thread good and early...And Quick I've been submitting that exact line-up for the past five matches or so and we have yet to see it...hopefully we will this week.

That said I completely agree with the line-up and think that the three Americans grouped up in attack along with Bullard and Davies will generate the necessary chemistry. Couple that with Andreasen, Stalteri, and Konchesky's attacking defensive style, and we should get our first three goal game in a long while.

Also, playing Derby ought to help out EJ's confidence and get him a goal or two and send us on a run up the table. A confident EJ is something that nobody in the EPL would want to see. Especially since he is a threat to not only run off McGod when facing goal, but a threat to distribute the ball back to Roy's midfielders and out to Roy's attacking defenders when his back is facing goal.

Mike very interesting find with the press clippings, can't wait to hear the boys singing on Saturday!

    UP FULHAM!!!

Well, I'm going to do my best reverse mojo to change our luck. I'm not going to pick a lineup. I'm not going to predict a score. I'm not going to be in the chatroom. I'm not going to check the scores. I'm not even going to watch the match until late Sunday night at the earliest. Uh, this is a one-match deal. If we win, I'm NOT staying away forever.

For more than two years I've been hearing "this match is critical." Well, THIS one is. We must defeat Derby, Sunderland, and Reading if we're to have a hope in hell of staying up.

Mikey, if the lads play as hard for you travelers as you cheer for them, the match will be something to behold.

    COME ON YOU MIGHTY WHITES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ------------- ^ Keller ^

    Stalteri - Hangeland - Hughes - Boca

    --------------Andreason
    --Davies --------------------Dempsey
    ----------------Bullard

    ----------McBride - Johnson

    ----------------------------------------------

Konch had a bad game; a day on the bench won't hurt him.

Of course, with Internationals at mid-week, you probably won't see this line-up. :(

With the US mid-week match being in Poland I hope the travel will not limit any of the US players for the Derby match.

I know Stalteri is playing a match this week with the Canadian team. I expect to see both he and Dempsey in the starting 11.

Canada's match is also in Europe (Estonia, I think) so I would imagine Stalteri's availability for the Derby match won't be limited either.

What he said. They're probably the worst team in Premiership history; not a surprise considering Kenny Miller is probably their star man.

If there's one spot to break our away hoodoo, this sure has to be it.

    Ah, Derby.

I had a dream we lost...mainly because there were livestock on the field that were distracting our players. The Derby players were accustomed to the geese, cows and donkeys on the field and were able to maneuver around them. We, however, were flummoxed. We lost 1-nil.

I've been in a funk all day...

I won't make any predictions...let's just say I found religion this week.

Don, we don't want to know what you dream about.

As far as donkeys being on the field, I don't think we have to worry about that since Danny Murphy is suspended this week.
