Great stuff Joe. You hit on my one concern. QPR will win eventually. And they'll be hungry for that victory to come against us. Hopefully our guys are just as hungry. I sense some goals coming in this one. Berbatov with a brace and a 3-1 victory.

 

Gotta say that I'm a bit nervy about this one.

Does anybody know who the official will be this weekend? I don't, but I bet Mr. Redknapp does and an envelope of cash is speeding toward him in a hackney.

 

We play like we did the first half of Newcastle I think we bowl over them. They leak goals but will get them as well.

2-4 Berbatov, Roga, Kaca and super sub Petric.

Droopy dog might have to decide whether to go with a recently recovered Cesar in goal and or stay with the unshakable Robert Green.

I'm gonna echo everyone here when I say I hope we show up with the same energy we did for the first half against Toons. If we do, I like our chances, even with an out of form Schwarzer. 2-3 Fulham. COYW!

Harry Redknapp is unbeaten in three games as QPR boss - but he just cannot get that win he needs.

Even so, his players are playing for him and they look a different side to the team they were under Mark Hughes. They are competitive in every game, too, and they seem to realise they have to scrap for their places.

Fulham had a good win against Newcastle on Monday, and they needed it because they were starting to sink.

But I think this might finally be the game where QPR get their first league win of the season. They will break the duck sometime and this seems to me to the time to do it.

Fulham created quite a few chances against Newcastle but, once the Magpies equalised, the game was in the balance for a while. QPR should cause them similar problems.

Prediction: 2-0

I don't know why we kept passing back. It was the 67th minute before we got a shot on goal and it was the tame FK from Petric. I hope this was some sick Christmas present to QPR from Fulham because if we play that way against any other BPL we will have lost by 4 or more.

 

That was $hit.

Unless I'm mistaken, I didn't see viable, attacking football against a squad that sits 20th in the league. Maybe it's just me?

 

That was bad and I was too pissed to say anything after the game. Thought about drinking some vodka, even though it was the morning. I can't believe we played that poorly against the worst team in the league. They are so bad that all you need to do is put some pressure on them and they'll allow goals and the fans will start to boo and you win the game. Jol needs to spend all the money he has to bring in quality because this team is lacking creativity and has trouble defending. Keep playing like this and we wil be in a relegation fight.

24 hours have allowed the anger to cool a bit.

I put a huge amount of blame on MJ here. Our tactics were negative from the start. Our players were clearly told to play a possession game and let QPR's overeagerness be their undoing. Almost every time we won the ball, our first move was backwards.

The big problem with this approach is the psychologoical effect on the players. They're told to just pass it around the back, so they lose their desire to attack. And then, if and when you concede, it becomes very difficult to switch gears and launch an attack.

I would have much preferred to see us take the match to a team that's reeling. Put them on the back foot at the outset. Their confidence is shot. Show them why. Take the supporters out of it early. When you're fighitng and your opponent is down, you don't just stand around waiting for him to get up. Because they eventually will.

Yes, we need some reinforcements in January. But there was plenty of quality on the pitch yesterday to put QPR down. We just didn't try.

 

tim you nailed it, as I said before the match, laid-back Fulham is a recipe for disaster versus how we "went for it" against Newcastle...

 

It was tamale making day at my in-laws so I didn't see any of it, but after reading the match reports I'm not shocked Fulham lost, but the manner in which they did is disturbing. Inexcusable not to play with energy and a sense of urgency.

 

It was painful to watch.
