Looked up the sponsor for the League Cup and found out Caraboa is an ‘energy’ drink. Is anyone else blown away they are able to use a positive word like ‘energy’? Instead of a word that’s more fitting like ‘Biohazard’?

Back on topic, the lads are heading to Manchester where they’ll roll out their academy. I’m hoping for some Fulham youngsters as well, but the GK/Back 4 should be our first team for the work.

The starting lineup for Fulham doesn't look much different from what we might see on Monday. Back to a 4-3-3

    Rico
    Sessegnon, Ream, Odoi, Fosu-Mensah
    Seri, Anguissa, Cairney
    Schurrle, Mitrovic, Vietto

Subs: Fabri, LeMarchand, Christie, Mawson, S. Sessegnon, De La Torre, Ayite

Citeh is starting some new faces but is still sending out some players I hear are pretty good - Sane, De Bruyne. And if those guys don't work out for them they've always got Mahrez, Aguero, and Sterling on the bench.

Brace by Diaz and a 2-0 cruise for the bad guys. A silver lining I guess is we didn’t give up 4 or 5 and the second goal was a deflection. It’s grasping at straws time at the moment sadly.

The highlights on YouTube generally are of poor quality and with commentary in Russian. You can go to ManCity.com to get the highlights for free: https://www.mancity.com/citytv/matc.../man-city-fulham-highlights-carabao-cup-short

Although Manchester City certainly deserved the win, it is unfortunate for Fulham that both goals came off of fortuitous situations. The first goal deflected sharply off Mitrovic so that Rico had no chance and the second goal fell kindly to an unmarked Diaz after Jesus' shot bounced off the upright.

One other silver lining I can find is that we got through the match without injury - the one thing we didn't need from a match we were almost certain to lose. Kevin De Bruyne was less fortunate and will be out for 6 weeks.

I fear that the end may be near for Ream given that he was the first sub off and has consistently been prone to error since returning. I'm hoping that he's still getting his game legs or that other people's errors are putting him out, but time is running short. He and Odoi have been rather sloppy with the ball at their feet and yesterday he was flat out beaten by Jesus on the second goal. I'm not sure what Joka is thinking, but I do know that I'm glad to not be in his shoes.
