Fulham's match with Nottingham Forest kicks off Saturday at 10am EDT on Peacock.

Fulham's worst performance of last season came at Forest when Fulham shamefully gave up three goals on three shots in the first half and made three subs after 33 minutes in more of a show of frustration from Silva than an attempt to come back in a game that was clearly already lost. Let's just stay away from 3's was the lesson of that match.

When Forest came into that match back in April they were tied on points with Luton and out of the relegation zone just based on goal differential. The situation is far different now with Forest one of just four teams who haven't lost yet. Their biggest win came at Liverpool who had looked like a title challenger prior to that match. However, they also drew at home to Wolves, so their performance has been a bit uneven. They gave up two goals for the first time last weekend when they needed a goal deep in the second half to earn a draw with Brighton. The big news out of that match was Gibbs-White's double yellow that saw him sent off with only about 10 minutes to play. Nuno was also shown a red so Forest will face Fulham without their best player and their manager sitting in the stands.

Fulham will have an almost fully fit squad with only Vinicius and Cuenca out. Expect the lineup to be the same as against Newcastle which means 7 players who started for Fulham in that disaster back in April will have a chance to redeem themselves. Fulham sits just a point and a place behind Forest, so we should have a much more competitive match than either of the games last season.

Nothing pretty about this match, but a gritty 3 points can be beautiful!!

Fulham's first clean sheet and first away win this season! It didn't have all the goal scoring excitement of last week, but I'd say it was still a deserved win. Fulham was in control in the first half, but as with many games this season, they just couldn't seem to get the ball into a good shooting position. That is still a concern going forward.

Fulham avoided making mistakes that popped up in some previous matches, although some of those balls into the center of the field to Berge from Leno did make me nervous. This let them close out a narrow 1-0 win for the first time since beating Luton almost exactly a year ago. Like last week, Fulham showed improved game management and really sucked the life out of Forest toward the end after a frantic period in the middle of the half.

Once again NBC has released all the morning highlights except for Fulham's. Why do they hate us?!

EDIT: Apparently I need to wait just one more minute for highlights!

I had to wait until the replay on Peacock to catch the second half. While the first half was stale and stodgy, the second half incorporated some action and movement. I found it quite entertaining. A second Fulham goal would have made it even more entertaining, but the team held on - beating down the pessimist in me.

Sixth in the table looks mighty fine.

Any road win in this league is huge. Seeing out a 1-nil away result is even bigger.

We usually end up with the short end of the refereeing stick, so it was weird to feel slightly guilty when NF was denied a likely pk. But then I beat that down and focused on celebrating the win.

I'll miss the City game and will try to avoid the score until the evening when I'll be able to watch it. The team should be going into it confident and relaxed.
