That is good news. I saw that mentioned over on bbc.co.uk this morning. Shows long term planning and gains.

This absolutely fantastic (and very important) news for the club and it's supporters.

I can't wait to see the blueprints of it and get an understanding of how each stand will change. I'm very much looking forward to it.

A great, great step for FFC.

I love the importance that MAF and the Fulham board have placed on maintaining the integrity of Craven Cottage as a symbol of Fulham. The two go hand in hand and Fulham wouldn't be the same the club without Craven Cottage.

4,000 extra seats should provide a fair boost in income for the club as well. The average ticket price being 30 quid and that comes out to be at least 120,000 quid per match. That is without the purchase of souvenirs or concessions as well. Those extra seats could provide the funds for at least one more quality player, as well as providing more Fulham supporters the opportunity to play in person.

Seeing matches like yesterday(4,500 empty seats) and that's with a lot of visiting support I kinda question if this is all that necessary.

It seems about half the games are sold out, so the club would presumably pick up some extra revenue from those games. But for the others its another 4,000 empty seats. Can you say E-Wood Park?? God forbid we get relegated any time soon, then it'll be real ugly.

Planning application is now up on the LBHF website. Very interesting read.

Looks like we have decided on a place for the Maestro on Stevenage Road near the Cottage gates.

It includes the removal of execuative boxes in Putney end / Riverside stand & replaced with seats. Looks like the corners will be filled in with these extra seats.

New roof on Riverside along with new facade at the rear of the stand & the Riverside walk opened.

Oh and don't forget it is the first announcement of the Johnny Haynes statue.

...document 2007/03910, Proposed Turnstile Refurbishment, Rev B, page 4:

"The Club also propose to position a statue in memory of Johnny Haynes on the Stevenage Road forecourt near the Cottage Gate...

I hope to someday soon see the Cottage in person. As odd as it sounds, I feel it would almost be spiritual in some way.

    I'm such a dork.

So news comes to me that the Hammersmith and Fulham Council are in support of any and all redevelopments at Craven Cottage.

This is great news for Fulham and the council is having another meeting to discuss finalizing their approval.

Though some of you would find this of some interest.

    Some good news...

I just received a text from my boy Jay (South London White) with confirmation that at the council meeting held this evening, Fulham was given approval to ALL proposed refurbishments.

    Woohoo.
