flopping in perspective

    wow.

    If you ever get a chance to see Bud Greenspan's movie Tokyo Olympiad, check out the Japanese gymnast who goes through the rings discipline -- including the dismount -- with a broken kneecap.

    Yeah, it kind of puts the AC Milan goalkeeper's flop into perspective!

    There's an interview of the runner (didnt link it so as not to subject you all to our local news) and she says she crawled so that her team could finish as high as possible and because it was her last high school race.

    Was Tokyo Olympiad a documentary. I seem to remember seeing a gymnast finish a routine with a severe injury.

    It's not even the flopping. As long as there are PK and cards, flopping will be a part of soccer. It's the writhing and rolling around in pain that is so annoying.
