Took Kendall to her first NE Rev's match today. Well actually first soccer match ever. She did great for a 2 1/2 year old. My expectations were not that high going in, I would have been happy if she had only last the first half. She stuck it out the whole match!! On the way walking to the stadium we walked by a guy, I asked her if she wanted to watch the soccer match and she said "yeah, Fulham." They guy turned and and started laughing, I told him she knows her soccer and he said "I'd say." On the way home she said, "Daddy thanks for taking me." Although they lost I knew she had a fun and that is all that matter's about today match.

Mo I promise to get you that pic you wanted of her in the Fulham kit, every time I try to get one of her in it she blinks or moves.

I see you knew exactly what I would be thinking when I saw this picture. No hurry Jim. The picture above is pretty darn cute. How are the fans liking Jay Heaps as their manager? How do they think he is doing so far?

Very cute. I still haven't worked up the nerve to take the little man to a sporting event.

I think the fan's are liking Heaps and willing to give him a chance. The team seems to be better then last year, have not really seemed to be out of any game they have lost that I have seen. If they keep playing the way they have, even if results don't go thier way, I think he will be given the bebefit of the doubt for a while. I think the fans know it's a rebuilding year, heck you can only go up after last year, and understand that mostly likely we wil not be playing for the MLS Cup this year, a playoff spot would be nice and maybe likely, but as long as they are close I think things will be OK.

My wife went away for the weekend and I decided to take her by myself, crazy huh? Like I said I really had low expectations, if any at all. I'd say the secret is to pick a row that has a few empty seats, if you can, so the little man can wander a little. At Gillette it's not usualy a problem. I bought a GA ticket and was going to sit in a row with very few people as I didn't care if she wandered in the row, knowing that she would not wonder too far from me anyway. It ended up one of my friends two SIL's were there and we sat with them and she still had plenty of room to roam when needed. She would sit in the seat for a bit and watch the match, stand up in front of it, walk down a few seats, made friends with the teenage girls and their parents in front of us, sit in my lap for a bit, look all around and people watch. I really could not believe how well she behaved, I figured she would be restless as hell, I'm sure as you know kids that age have baby ADD :) But there was enough to keep her busy. Who knows how she might act next time, but I would take her again and not set the bar too high.

Lol... years from now, she will probably say her first memory of sports is going to a Fulham game with her dad.

I dont know about you guys but my first life memories are from 2- 2 1/2. Only reason I know how old I was is from timelines of where I lived, when.

I'll know have to correct her one day, but for know she's happy and so am I. Doesn't matter who we saw as long as she remembers it was with me.

I was born in 1968 and what I believe my earliest memories if of one of the NASA moon landings on TV when I was 2 1/2, It was probably Apollo 14 (Feb 71) , though it could have been as late as Apollo 16 (April 72) as I remerber watching it on a small TV in my living room. For Apollo 15 I would have been at my grandparents on Cape Cod.
