What would be your favorite songs? To me songs have to have the lyrics as well as the sound to be a favorite. I like Extreme Noise Terror's "Statement". Some of the English might of heard of this band as they shot a fake machine gun at the 1992 British music awards at the crowd. I also like for some reason Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Gold Lion. I have absolutley no clue why as I hate everything else from this band, but it's a favorite of mine.

    -Hurt, NIN
    -Bad, U2

I could go on but that's more than enough to bore anyone reading this post.

Aww...thanks Don. I just love that foot-tapping and head nodding music. So I take it you're a blues fan too (I know you play folk music)? Any recommendations? I'm rather partial to the Chicago, electric blues sound.

If that's your bag, look for a couple of old LPs by the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Also look for Elvin Bishop, Allman Brothers, and [I am a Texan, remember] Stevie Ray Vaughn.

As for me, we do primarily what used to be called "folk-rock" [HatterMom calls it "geezer-rock"] but we do some blues-based stuff, too -- mostly at my suggestion.
