Eric Lecaj

    A young American defender named Eric Lecaj scored the decisive goal for Aston Villa in their 3-2 pre-season victory over Peterboro. The 21 year old Chicago native has been on Villa's books since 2007 when he left UNC after one season. He has been injured a lot since he arrived, but he did get some first team matches at Lincoln and Leyton Orient last season.

    The goal was a powerful header. I'm not sure what his preferred defensive position is, but it would be nice if he were a natural left back.
