    ... yeah right.

In yet another example of one set of rules for the big clubs and one for the rest of us, the FA have overturned a red card given only three days ago. I'll bet no other appeal has been heard and decided that quickly this week.

I watched the match -- Robihno curiosity -- and agreed with the straight red. He was NOT carded for being "the last man." He was carded for dangerous play, and I thought that Terry was unnecessarily rough in his tackle on Jo. He wrapped his arm aroung the Brazilian's waist and jerked him down. Was the decision harsh? Yes. Would it have been given my most of the refs in the league? Against Chelsea/Man U/Liverpool/Arsenal? NO WAY.

Overturning the red doesn't bother me -- okay, yes it does. What REALLY bothers me is how quickly the FA can act when it affects the TOP FOUR and how slowly for the rest of us. If that tackle had been in the West Brom v. West Ham match, they'd still be reviewing it ... before they sustained the referee's decision.

This shit continues to piss me off!

Seriously... is there any doubt that what's wanted is a Euro-Super League?

I think it would be better for everyone.

The hipocrisy of the FA knows no bounds, so this decision is par for the course. If anything it would have been shocking to see the card upheld.

Couldn't agree more, Don. If that card had been called on, say, Toni Kallio, he'd be out for three matches. Furthermore, I saw the play as well and agreed with the red.
