I'm surprised no one started this yet as the season is only two days away.

    1)Liverpool
    2)Chelsea
    3)Arsenal
    4)Man U
    5)West Ham
    6)Tottenham
    18)Middlesbrough
    19)Watford
    20)Sheffield United

    Fulham= 16th
We've made improvements yes, but so has everyone else. Teams like Charlton and Portsmouth have made similar amount if not more improvements. In the EPL you must bring in new players just to maintain your stature in the league. We've lost Steed and perhaps John. I also believe that many are taking the exodus of Goma far to lightly.
Our central defense is far to week for this league and it will show again. Much of the scoring will be dependent on the midfield. Iceman and McBride are good forwards both of whom I never want to leave, but they are not prolific scorers.
I predict a slow start to the season. At some point Coleman will be gone, and this team which has showed us time and time again that it can be brilliant will pull off some late magic to avoid the drop. It may be gloomy but I think its realistic the back line far to weak for a top 10. Hopefully I'm wrong, hopefully I'm under estimating this team.

A ninth place finish might be a bit too optimistic, but I think it is possible. I am not so convinced outside the top six there are many great teams. It will be very intereresting to see where teams 7-20 end up. It is a crap shoot and a lot of teams are very average and I think Fulham has a shot if things fall the right way to finish ninth.

On the other hand, it could go bad and we could be 17th or so. Whatever, we will NOT go down this season!!

    And mine:

    1. Liverpool
    2. The Undead
    3. Man U.
    4. Arsenal
    5. Spurs
    6. Man City [surprise!]
    7. Aston Villa [surprise again!]
    8. Blackburn Rovers
    9. Charlton [another surprise]
    10. Everton
    11. Fulham
    12. Newcastle
    13. West Ham
    14. Middlesboro
    15. Reading
    16. Watford
    17. Bolton [surprise!]
    18. Pompey
    19. Wigan
    20. Sheff Utd.

Reversal of fortune from my earlier picks for Villa especially. Think Martin O'Neill plus cash will drive them up.

    FA Cup -- Spurs
Carling -- WON'T be The Undead nor Reading since neither care for other reasons -- So I'm picking the HATTERS!!
    CL -- Lyon
UEFA -- Liverpool [after going out of CL in 3rd spot and morphing into UEFA]

CC will NOT be fired. Harry will be. Newcastle will have new manager by Easter.

    That's it!

Full of surprises. Can't wait to revisist in January for a look back on everyone's picks to see how they have managed.

    More prognostocations:
    - If Man-who? ends up 5th or lower, Fergie is on the hotseat.
    - If Chelsea does not make Champions League finals, Jose moves on.
    - If Fulham,........nah, let's stay positive. COYW!!!

I'm afraid I don't know enough about some of the other EPL teams to make a good prediction but I think the top 5 will be:

    1. Liverpool
    2. Chelsea
    3. Manchester United
    4. Arsenal
    5. Tottenham

I see Fulham somewhere between 9 and 12.

I notice a number of people have selected Liverpool ahead of Chelsea. Is this based only on the Community Shield or what makes those who chose Liverpool believe they will dethrone Chelsea?

    Call it a woman's intuition...or wishful thinking. :D

It just seems Liverpool are possesed this season to knock-off Chelsea. And with so many superstars at Chelsea you wonder if they can come together like a team this season. Yeah, they've done it before, but this year just seems a little different.

I also believe that Liverpool will top Chelsea this season. I think they play well as a team and have the pure passion to beat the EVIL BLUES. Admittedly, my hatred for Chelsea forms my opinion here, but Liverpool seems to be the club in the best shape to make a run against Chel-suck. Also, if somehow Arsenal could pull things together and outpace Chelsea I would be VERY happy.

Fulham will win 4 away matches this year and finish 10th.

I agree with DCH. I think Liverpool are significantly improved, and that The Undead are reaching critical mass with too many starters and too few starting positions.

I dont understand it... how are so many predicting Reading to go down {not only here, I mean}?

Do you all REALLY think their season was a fluke?

Reading is very good young team, but they lack experience at the Prem level. I wouldn't be shocked if they pulled a Sunderland.

Also, I think Glen is not a very big fan of Reading if I remember one his posts correctly from last year.

Oh, puhl...leeze! i'm so tired of reading that. That is ALL in the head... somehow I dont think Coppell will let that factor in. Sure when they play Chelsea, Liverpoo and Arse, but will/should work the opposite like against ManU

I hope they avoid the drop, and I've even predicted they stay up. But there is a difference between the two leagues. They didn't experience much adversity, if at all, last season. It's going to be interesting to see how they react to losing a few games.
