Well, I feel a lot better about our performance against Morocco now!

England lost the match against 10 men. I realize that this was a "B international" but England featured Michael Owen, Peter Crouch, Ashley Cole, Jamey Carragher and several other seasoned players, and they couldn't dominate a team man-for-man significantly inferior.

The players who did their cause a world of good: Aron Lennon and Peter Crouch.

Also playing well: Cole, Carragher, Owen, and Sol Campbell

Stinking up the joint: Hargreaves and especially Michael Dawson, who stepped aside to let the Belarus striker get the winning goal and then committing a petulant foul that somehow didn't get a card.

Granted, England had a real penalty appeal shot down in each half, but their goal also looked suspect.

I guess USA isn't the only side that looks a little shakey two weeks out!

Indeed this makes me feel a little better. Although England had a B squad one could argue that Morocco is much better than Belarus. England seems more prone to these types of results than most.
