embedding video

I'm working on allowing users to embed video in posts...I'll be adding more video services as time goes on.

To embed youtube videos, the code is as follows:

Code:

[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiVV6bk-Qrc [/youtube]

which is:
[youtube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiVV6bk-Qrc[/youtube]

To embed vimeo the code is:

Code:

[vimeo]29487735[/vimeo]

which brings this:
[vimeo]29487735[/vimeo]

 

Dailymotion videos are as follows:

But you only need to post the video identifier "xlh92w" between the dailymotion tags:

so it's:

[dailymotion]xlh92w[/dailymotion]

to get this:

[dailymotion]xlh92w[/dailymotion]

Unfortunately, embedding video is limited to certain video providers (such as youtube, vimeo, and dailymotion). Can't embed espn vids on the board.

 

You all can pretty much paste about any popular video or media link and it should automatically appear. I think.
