I really dont like Arsenal, but as far as this man:

Yippee for you. I couldnt be happier. It was a horrible injury and it only took one look before I knew I never needed to see it again.

Eduardo completes 45 min for reserves.

I have to give him all the credit in the world. I wish all the best of luck to him (just not when he's playing against Fulham of course)

well, he came back Monday, got two goals, and now he's out with hamstring problems. This might not be significant, but the same thing happened to Frankie Simek of Wednesday. After being out for several months with anke injuries, in his first start, he came out with hamstring and is still out.

Hope both these lads come back. Good news? Eduardo probably won't be fit for our trip to The Emirates.

Mo, for the 55 plus years I've been following sports, the saddest thing for me has always been a young, talented, promising player being cut down by injury before he's had a chance at a career.

That, and it's my job to worry about EVERYBODY.

    Bubbie, is that you?

Seriously, good to see Eduardo back...his injury is something I never want to see again.

I half expected the Cardiff players to join the Emirates faithful in giving him a standing ovation off the pitch. I'd have done it, to show professional solidarity, if nothing else.

He's crafty, with quick feet and good desire to challenge for the ball. I still hate Arsenal, but he is quality and I am happy to see him back.

At what point am I allowed to stop thinking "hey, awesome, he's coming back from a severe injury and playing at a high level" and start thinking "oh look, another world-class player playing for one of the Big Four, the rich get richer, how exciting"?

    1. ManU
    2. Liverpool
    3. Arsenal AND
    4. Aston Villa, right?

Can't be a Big Four club with a part-time manager, right?

How about option three -- "Hate to say it, but Eduardo isn't a world class player right now, he has a heck of a mountain to climb."

Right now, I'm glad for him and am hoping for the best.

Don and I were just talking about the Eduardo dive yesterday, and how it might already be impacting the players' willingness to go down easy. This decision probably minimizes the hopes for that.

Yes - I saw this as well. And I also had similar thoughts.

You only stop simulation by punishing it. Referees seem to be the only people that can do something about it that will actually stick so it is up to them.

These governing bodies are happy to turn over anything that is done after the fact, but terrified of what will happen if they start turning over referee decisions that happen during the match.

Sad, but expected fropm UEFA - they are to footy what the UN is to international law enforcement.

Also why I expect Chelski to get their penalty softened.

    Dare to dream though...

The biggest impediment to soccer catching hold in the US to a greater degree is the whole diving issue.
