Dish DVR to Computer

    Hmmmm... I like the DVD recorder option from WalMart. Sounds like 75 bucks and I am in business.

    I dont mink the idea of pulling the hard drive and hooking it up to my computer, but I just dont want to do that more than once.

    Yeah... the point is that the 'crack' is a one-off deal. The DVD recorder allows you to do it always...

    Why they will not allow me to hook up a UBS/Firewire cable to the dish and access the hard drive that way is beyond me - but I am sure there is some large legal document to explain it to me.

    I will start looking at DVD recorders. If I get one I would be happy to record the shows for you Mike.

    My father in law also has an analog to digital converter. That would work as well (in a round about way) come to think of it...

    The data usb cable would be very nice to transfer over shows, but as you mentioned, the FCC doesn't want us to have any fun.

    I'm just interested in the Fulham bits of the shows as I do miss the Premier League preview shows and such, plus, I can upload them to FulhamUSA to our new video locker room we are working on...SHHHHHHHHHHH
