Dirty Sanchez

I wasn't that big on Lawrie after we sacked Cookie last year. MAFs appointed him full time manager only after he barely managed to keep us from being relegated. I was impressed by all of the player movements, but why do we have to put up with a manager that is seemingly content with fighting for Premiership survival rather than a spot in Europe? And why does he continually think we're playing well week in and week out? Is he not seeing the same matches we are?

 

Fulham can't just wish to fight for a European spot. Every team in the Premier League, save four or five, clubs are all fighting for a European spot. So it isn't just going to happen if you will it. You need money, you need the money spent well, and you need a couple of years to get the team playing together so it can make a serious challenge.

It is MORONIC to think with Sanchez's signings that Fulham would be anywhere near a European spot this year. Pay attention to the whole League. Pay attention to why players and manager don't want to come to Fulham. Fulham is a club just not built for upper level Premier League success, but once in a blue moon.

 

I vote NO. Keep Sanchez for at least a full season. CMON Give the guy a chance. Hopefully the January transfer window will be revealing for Sanchez and his intentions with Fulham and the Future.

 

C'mon guys give the man a chance, Rome wasn't built in a day and you have to accept LS Has been made Manager and everyone has to stand behind that decision wether you agree or not, Drawing like we have been wont win anything but you just have to be patient, if it all turns sour then LS will lose he's job and another will inherate that position, Being Manager like bieng an NFL coach has lots of responsabilities and nobody will agree with everything that person does.

I like LS and think he is the best man available for this job, I dont agree with all he's signings but I stand behind the man 100%.

Playing in Europe is every teams goal but you have to be succesful at home First.

 

If LS was on the pitch Saturday you can be sure he would have been guarding Jones.

 

I think LS is doing a good job. I like the players he has bought in, save one, and I like the way the team trys to play. We look more like a team under LS where everyone knows what is expected of them. I now hope the confidence comes and with it the results. It would help if the ref could get the occasional decision right.

 

I'm going with a big no. I seriously doubt bringing in someone new this early in the season would do the team any good. The team hasn't been playing horribly, that is why each draw is so gut-wrenching. I just think we need a few wins and our confidence.

 

So...

...the overwhelming majority think Sanchez should stay. Let's see how that changes after a 2-0 defeat to Reading at home sits - hoping this doesn't happen, but suspecting it will.

I'm not saying he's a bad manager, I'm just saying he doesn't have the fire to motivate his team.

His immediate post match reaction after constantly conceding late goals is "that's football." No, it's not just football. True, occasionally that a lucky ball or bad call happens, but when it happens consistently, "that's the manager."

No way should Lawrie be fired. The man has just barely got his team together. He's still trying to figure out who fits best where. The team is getting used to him. I don't care if we lose to Reading, he should still be our manager. And we are playing ten times better than last season. As Lawrie has said, we've been in every match and have only been outplayed a few times. This is a good team. We'll get there.

Personally, I don't think the consistent bad or "unlucky" calls have anything whatsoever to do with the manager. We've been subject to an unheard of amount of poor calls this year. I'm not one to blame the officials if I can help it but I just can't. We've been victim to too many late goals, yes, but I think it's more of a player issue than a manager issue.

Under these circumstances, you'd think he would be fighting for his job vs Wigan. A win might buy him some time with the Fulham board, but it's unlikely that the overwhelming majority (who now want Sanchez out) would welcome him back.

 

So....

...anyone else care to change his/her mind?
