    For any NYC/NJ locals -

Derby vs. FULHAM - Bar/Pub in NYC is TBD (Nevada Smiths is the 1st choice but they have not confirmed if they will/won't play the match yet).

If you can make it, please post here and I will update this annoucement as soon as we find a pub...

Feel free to email me if you have any questions: benedetto6@gmail.com

    Cheers,
    Mike

Hope to be there, even though it is a bit early to haul my body out of bed to trek over to Nevada Smith's. If you can, find out if there's a cover charge, or is that just a Sunday thing to get around the blue laws?

There is only a cover charge at Nevada Smiths when the match is on Pay-per-view and not FSW.

The Derby v. FFC match is on FSW and there will be no cover. But again, I don't see the match on Nevada's Football TV Schedule and I will confirm when I do.

    Hello All,
Here is the update about the bar for Saturday. It seems that Nevada's might not show the match and when I called he said he 'couldn't guarantee' what would be on the tele, so here is the deal...

One of our members has suggested a pub that I have looked into and it seems like a much nicer alternative to Nevada Smiths:

    Baker Street
Corner of 1st ave and 63rd st.

    www.bakerstreetnyc.com

Fulham v. Derby Guaranteed and No Cover.

Let me know if this is good for you guys, as it is good for me since FFC is on. Match starts at 10am.

    Mike :D

Sounds like a plan....good chance to check out a new venue! Might be tempted to get there early to watch Portsmouth V S'Hampton!

Sounds good. I might be able to wake some friends in the 'hood (yeah, like the Upper East Side is a "'hood"!), but will probably have enough problems getting myself out of bed and there. I'll try to make it!!

Good time at Baker St. Pub! At least they did food and the company was great!! Too bad we could not raise a Guinness to a victory, but at least Collins John scored for his Mum. Next time, let's get a victory and be able to celebrate for more than a few minutes post-match (especially if the next match requires a cover, just to see MU!!)

Agreed Rudi...it was a surreal experience watching Fulham and being the only person with an English accent...but thoroughly enjoyable.

I know the Manchester United match is on TV, PPV, so perhaps that day we will meet up for a match. I will keep everyone posted as it gets closer. I think that match is on March 19th.
