I was worried that Clint would maybe look elsewhere if Fulham were to take the escalator down to the CCC, but it looks like Deuce will stay at the Cottage for two more seasons at least! :banana:

Not to smush anybody's bananas, but they probably extended his contract with an eye on people coming to get him if Fulham gets relegated. Fulham did something similar with Zat Knight the summer before and then promptly sold him when Aston Villa showed interest.

They do this to protect the players value. The more years they have left on their contract the more you have to pay for them.

 

In my opinion, Clint is one of a number of players who have stood out this year. His main attributes are 100% commitment and he is not a whiner. Therefore, extending his contract gets thumbs up from me.
