This makes me feel like I'm getting old. DeMerit was a real bulldog but even as good as he managed to become history may ask what if he had stayed healthy. Every time I thought he was really just about to break out he seemed to break down. I was delighted when he made the 2010 World Cup squad.

 

Favorite moment from USMNT days was his somersault using the top of the dog pile after Donovan's goal against Algeria. Hard-nosed grinder that never backed down from anyone even with less than a great skill set. The below moment was when the vast majority of US fans became aware of a defender playing in England that might be able to help us out The goal in the playoff final that put Watford ahead of Leeds and on their way to the Prem;

That was a fabulous header to put them up. And, I still have that match dvr'd and his celebration was awesome - pure joy. Thanks for posting these, SCJ.

That must be one hell of a dvr. Mine never seem to last long enough and have to be replaced, making keeping something that long almost impossible.
