That would cover that attack mid slot we needed filled. With Berbatov at striker, Richardson for squad depth, that just leaves a midfielder or two. Looking like we're going to make a nice recovery to end the window if these indeed come off.

There are also reports we're battling it out with West Ham for Sulejmani. But I think that was who Sullivan's kid was referrring to in his tweet. So I'm doubtful on that rumor. But here's an article on that.

Fulham and West Ham are battling it out to sign Ajax forward Miralem Sulejmani, Goal.com understands.

The Dutch giants have signalled that they are prepared to cash in on the Serbia international before the transfer window closes.

West Ham have made a bid for the 23-year-old and a deal to take him to Upton Park is understood to be almost done.

But Fulham have entered the fray for the forward, who played under Martin Jol during the Craven Cottage manager’s 18 months in charge of the Amsterdam club.

West Ham agreed a deal to sign the versatile forward on a season-long loan two years ago but it fell through after the Serbian was denied a work permit.

They have, however, reignited their interest in the wide attacker, who can operate on either side of a centre-forward, as boss Sam Allardyce attempts to bring greater creativity to his front line before Friday night’s deadline.

Marc Overmars, the former Arsenal winger who is now an Ajax director, has spoken in Holland of an approach for Sulejmani.

“It's a serious offer, but I can't mention the name of the club,” he said. 'Miralem knows about the interest.”

Jack Sullivan, the teenage son of Hammers chairman David Sullivan, tweeted earlier on Thursday that West Ham were pursuing a forward as news emerged that Nicky Maynard was heading for Cardiff City.

Sullivan said on Twitter: “We expect to sign a top, top class striker today. My Dad doesn’t give up.”

However, Jol is also a big fan of Sulejmani and is desperate to add some pace to his attack as he prepares to cover for the impending loss of Clint Dempsey, who is the subject of fresh interest from Liverpool.

The Dutchman has confirmed that Fulham are closing in on the signing of Dimitar Berbatov after he underwent a medical on Thursday.

By my count, we would have spent £8m on Dejagah, Richardson and Berbatov. Considering we haven't spent a dime on fees before this and got £15m for Dembele, we should be able to pull off a great signing at CM. Adam would be nice. Maybe look into somebody else from the continent.

Don't watch the Bundesliga much, but I have never been impressed with Dejagah. I barely watch Wolfsburg so it's highly possible that I catch his bad games. Looks like I have by what everybody is saying.

Fulham Football Club can confirm the signing of Ashkan Dejagah from VfL Wolsburg on a three-year deal with an additional year’s option, for an undisclosed fee, which will see the player at the Club until at least 2015.

The 26-year-old winger made over 150 appearances in five seasons at Wolfsburg, having spent three years prior at Hertha Berlin.

His impressive performances for the Bundesliga side last season - where he registered many assists for his team - earned him a first international call-up, where he has so far scored two goals in three matches for Iran.

Prior to making his senior international debut for Iran, Dejagah represented Germany at every age group from the U17s to U21s.

Dejagah played twice against Fulham during the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League campaign, coming on as substitute in both legs of the Quarter-Final tie.

Dejagah said: "I’m very happy to be signing for Fulham and to come and play in the Premier League. I know Sascha [Riether] well and he told me very good things about the Club and, after I had spoken to the Manager and heard about the project here, I was convinced. So I am happy to be here and will give my best for the Club and our fans."
