That's just a stage though...I don't think they're covering any actual seats...I am a Fire fan but I think the new Red Bull Park is the best looking plan to date. It will look great once its completed.

best to watch the game... row 10 thru 20 in sects 124 through 127. That's west side so sun doesnt get in eyes.

Best to 'join in' as rabid fans.. buy cheap tix and sit in a rooters group. See the BS Crew supporters' subforum.

'Fog, what have they done too our home ground? Are they going to put in seating behind the goal so that the keeper can still hear the abuse? They could put a slope in and have a standing terrace! COYCC.

I dunno... I'd suspect some sort of porta-bleacher.

We'll have to see. I cant make it today... of all days.

.. Crew have sold over 2,000 away fan tix. .. and TFC supporters claim 100 buses coming.
Why? Because they are the closest rival, they travel great, and their first home game is the 28th of April
And we LOVE Toronto Fans, they are they best and we all have fun when they come down.. There's a supporters match
Plus TFC and CC have made up a Cup series, seems the 'Trillium' Is both Ohio's Official Wildflower and Ontario's Official Flower.
Not only THAT.. apparently The RedBoyz are renting a banner plane.

Crew Stad 'roof blown off'

Figuratively speaking..or maybe I should say 'Relatively, figuratively speaking'

From all accounts, I missed a seminal moment and BarryP got to witness it.

It didn't feel like a Crew soccer game.

The Toronto FC fans, a red sea of 2,300 in the south end of the stadium, were waving their flags and chanting and launching smoke bombs. And the Crew rowdies in the northeast corner, a yellow-and-black storm of something considerably less than 2,300, were answering the Toronto fans in kind.

When Toronto's Todd Dunivant took his place for a corner kick in front of the Columbus fans, they showered him with streamers, napkins, cups and even beer. He was still trying to untangle yellow streamers from his legs 15 seconds later.

It didn't feel like a Crew game, and after three years out of the playoffs, that's a good thing. The atmosphere in the 2-0 Crew win was a nice way to air the place out.

"Today was the best atmosphere we've ever had for opening day," Crew defender Frankie Hejduk said. "Even though there were a lot of Toronto fans, they make our fans that much louder. It was going back and forth. I think it was the first time they've ever actually thrown stuff at the opposing team, which is a good thing. That's how it's done everywhere."

Whether it is or isn't, there is no denying the electricity made it a memorable day in Crew Stadium. It wasn't a particularly large turnout -- the 13,843 attendance was only a little more than last year's opener even with all those Toronto fans -- but the Crew fans were singing, chanting and flag-waving almost the entire game.

There were problems

I had some beers and grilled meat with a lot of you before the game, and you were cool. But for whatever reason one or two of you decided to punch me on the way out and run away. So, yea, Cbus' finest lesbian PD officers decided to cuff me to a bench as my nose was broken.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- They came, they drank, and some of them urinated next to a church.

One man was arrested and a fleet of Columbus police cars was pressed into duty before Toronto FC even kicked off on Saturday, after more than 2,400 supporters traveled from Canada to central Ohio to watch their team open the Major League Soccer season. They left disappointed, but some left their mark.

But overall, those is attendance AGAIN thought the MOST of the TFC fans were great for us, and the game.

That the Crew WON 2-0 wasnt so much the point as how the team played and the atmosphere in the stadium. After all, the Crew began its slide into the depths with a 3-0 win over LA in 2005.

When almost everyone on the Crew BS messageboard is happy with the result, that REALLY is significant. Believe me, the grousers and crepe-hangers on there take a back seat to no one on the Brit boards.

Or the Toronto fans.. who seemingly forget just how BAD TFC was last year.
