Crew @ DC [R]!.

1. I just saw a game that made me not feel so down about the World Cup being over.

- DC United right now is playing head and shoulders over the rest of the league. They have form and confidence and it shows. The Celtic 4-0 thrashing was not just a matter of match fitness

- In fact, this DC team would have given an in-form Fulham a run for their money.

2. The Crew could have folded but they didnt and actually started playing better, though no where near the level of DC and the game ended 3-2


When most of the MLS teams start playing to the level of DC, the attendance WILL come... I'd look right now at DC's to keep going up.

 

Note: ..saw a very rare event
Crew GK Palmer joined the Crew pushing up at end of extratime and took a shot at the ball with time running out.

What was rare... he jumped and headed the ball at the goal; unfortunately it went low and was parried out. Imagine the write ups if he'd been really lucky and the ball went in..

DC is on a roll right now that they might burn out towards the end of the season and lose their rythem for the playoffs. Same thing happen to Columbus a few years ago.
