Congrats to Annan Athletic...won approval to join SFL...

I was impressed that the Scottish Football League did the right thing and selected the club with the strongest operation over those from larger population bases. All 8 members of the SFL who were selected to run the rule over the five applicant clubs during inspection visits chose Annan to replace Gretna in the league.

It is also a good thing for Gretna fans who are now without a club to support. Annan isn't that far from Gretna, so having league football nearby will take a small bit of pain out of the large wound losing one's club represents.
