COLEMAN OUT!!! PART 2... andI don't care who we bring in....

    Hi All,

Sorry but Saturday finished it for me.... I have followed Fulham for over 40 years... stood on terraces.... followed them on a long journey down through the leagues from the old Division 1 [now re-named the Prem.] all the way down to 93rd in the league..... when away to Torquay... then 94th..... and lost, badly!
I have followed them all the way back up and despite Chicago Toms piece about how good and nice a bloke he is [and I know he is!] He is not the man to take us on and become a better team..... we have been crying out for a decent centre back for 2 seasons and we still don't have one... no player we have bought has improved under his tenure as manager in fact it is argueable that the opposite is true.....
We are playing them sae crap today as we did all those years ago away at Torquay, it was not good enough then and its not damn well good enough now!
FFS we bought Demsey... "not to sit on the bench" [CC's quote not mine!] well he hasn't been playing and he has not even made the bench for some matches [how do you feel about that?] Brian McBride, a fantastic and willing forward who has a proven track record at the very highest level of international football does CC play a winger to supply quality crosses to probably the most dangerous header of a ball in an opponents penalty box does CC provide this world class standard forward with a service..NO!
There is no point that you can trot out, no excuse that you can make for him..... he is NOT fit for purpose!! COLEMAN OUT!! :x

I agree with everything you've said ... except for the whole "COLEMAN OUT" thing. Consider this this.

    1. We stand well ahead of 3 or 4 teams with larger and stronger squads and more money.

    2. When our entire midfield was trashed, CC knitted together a MF made of vinegar and brown paper and took points off Spurs, Arsenal, and the Scum in the process.

With our depleted squad and large injury list, we're lying 14th. I think that the manager has to get just a LITTLE credit for that.

COLEMAN STAYS ... not that I'm arguing, since you said you don't give a toss what anyone thinks.

I can't say I have followed Fulham for 40 years like BB has, but I do not see how sacking Coleman is the answer to Fulham's problems.

    1. Who is your managerial solution?

    2. How can one get on Coleman when he has worked with a shoestring budget for too many years and still has kept the club up. If you want to have a go at someone, you might consider the chairman. He is the one who has pulled the plug on any kind of competitive spending.

    3. With the little money Coleman has it takes time to build a team to his liking. Yes, we need some center halves, but we also need some midfielders and strikers over the last few seasons as well. Coleman is not an idiot. He will get some center halves this summer and then we will see what happens next season.

    4. What is your definition of success at Fulham? In a perfect and realistic world, what kinds of achievements do you envision for this club?

    Coleman OUT!!

BB; you backed your obviously frustrated 1st post w/one that was filled with salient points. He did go ultra-conservative on Sat., and I can't blame fans (especially ones that have been following the team their whole lives) for having a go, but replacing him at this very moment would have the opposite of the desired effect.

As far as Dempsey is concerned, yes he is a yank and as fans of the USMNT we want to see what he can do, but we're ALL Fulham fans and we want to see him play because we think he can help not because he's an American. I wish CC would let Claus out of the doghouse as well.

Is that actually the case? I'm not sure why but I had the impression that he was still injured. He showed enough creativity and touch earlier in the year that I'd guess he would get an opportunity to play if he were healthy. Of course, at this point the midfield depth is such that if everyone were healthy, a few good players would maybe not even make the subs bench.

CC is a great guy but he's taken Fulham as far as he can. If there is a better manager out there we should go for him. With as much as CC has done for Fulham football is still a business, and they're in the business of winning, not being stuck in the bottom half.
