    Yes, between the statements, "attempt to refind his form" and "Tottenham won the race for his signature" and "Fulham fans will be delighted" you cant possibly take this seriously

    I wouldn't take that site too seriously.

    It is basically like a Rant Sports or Bleacher Report-type site.

    I know Dempsey is a strong competitive person and will fight for playing time but I have to wonder if AVB plans include Deuce for the coming season at all.

    Yeah, I think Tottenham are looking to free-up some cash to get some new players in and help pay for the ones that have just recent jumped on board. I don't think there is much doubt that they're very interested in Benteke and others.

    It makes more sense for Spurs to unload Parker and Adebayor than Dempsey, given what they pay, paid, get from and could get for those two players. Even at 32 Parker could probably command more dough than Dempsey.

    I can't find the link anymore, but I read something earlier this week where Dempsey was second behind Bale for Tottenham last year in fewest minutes played per goals+assist when looking at all games across all competitions.

    Not saying they're offloading because he's not playing well. It's the new Hotspurs...buy low, sell low...I guess.


    Edit: And then spend money you don't have. They learned a lot from Harry.

    He's not going anywhere. A bargain at twice the price for them. Once Bale figured out that passing to him was as good as shooting, they became a formidable duo. Besides, they've got bigger fish to fry, like keeping Bale happy at White Hart Lane. Deuce is Deuce, and the least of their concerns, I would think.

    That and coming up with some people on the back line to give a little help to Monsieur Lloris, who's pretty darn good between the pipes.
