So if you still think that all the hysteria on GM crops would prove to just be a matter of choice, perhaps you should read both articles again. Everything's connected.

speaking of the food insanity, did you see that there's a Republican bill in the senate to cut back on scheduled development of Ethanol? I heard about it on Texas Public Radio. Two of the three sponsors are Texas Senators John "Whatever You Say" Cornyn, Kay Bailey Hutchinson, and John McCain. The report said that the sponsors figure to have a tough time getting the bill passed because it's an election year. [It's ALWAYS an election year in Iowa!]

Well good on Kay Baily, and special props to McCain who ain't scared of that particular third rail. Here's hoping Congress gets a little backbone and passes it. You know, the entire world would be better off if the Iowa caucuses where held in July.

Well, what the hell... Harkins can ALWAYS say "Gave it the old college try" in his status report to Iowa Farm Bureau, ConAgra and the Chicago Board of Trade.

As if.... Dont forget it's ALWAYS election Year in Congress too.
