Going somewhere else...Toulouse, I believe on loan with no option to buy.

No surprise after the Parker signing.

I am thinking Fulham wanted him along with Parker. I am thinking the price was too steep for Fulham. If it's true there is no option to buy, he would be available again to Fulham. If he is as accurate with his passes as everyone is claiming, he is what is needed in the Fulham midfield.

Based on the timing and our depth (Boateng, Sidwell, Karagounis, Diarra?) I think Parker was the fallback option here.

Parker could have been the fallback option but I really think it was either Parker, Chantome or another and that the club only intended to sign one more CM. There are reports circulating that Fulham pulled out of negotiations with a Brazilian midfielder after Parker was signed. If I were a betting man I would wager the depth fulham have will be competing for the spot next to Parker in the starting XI and no one else will be coming in for the central midfield. I will dream that Diarra can come back to the form he had before the knee injury and sit next to Parker but I will be a little surprised if we see him in a Fulham shirt again.
