I like the comment from Liam in the last paragraph. BTW, anyone got a spare ticket for Madison Square garden? I was busy watching Fulham when I shoudl have been at home ordering one online!

OASIS celebrated LIVERPOOL FC?s incredible CHAMPIONS LEAGUE victory at an intimate LONDON gig last night (May 25).

The band didn?t come on stage at the Coronet until the match between Liverpool and AC Milan had been shown on a giant screen, in front of thousands of drunken fans.

Instead of coming on to their traditional intro tape of 'Fuckin? In The Bushes?, the band came on to Liverpool?s anthem ?You?ll Never Walk Alone?, bathed in red light.

Speaking recently about the show, Noel Gallagher explained: "The gig was sold out and I said, 'Instead of getting a support band, why don't we get a big screen and stick it in the middle of the stage so everyone can watch the game. Then we'll play after the game and get a late curfew'. They all went for it, so we hired a big cinema thing."

Liam Gallagher dedicated 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' to the Italian fans. AC Milan were 3-0 up at half-time, but ended losing on penalties 3-2 after extra time after Liverpool came back to draw 3-3.

The new Oasis album is complete rubbish in my opinion. Has anyone else heard it? I used to love this band, but this is just brutal.

Tom, a couple of decent tracks but the rest is terrible. Such a shame, I loved the last album. This one was very lazy.

I went to see them at Knebworth park years ago..they were brilliant and we all had to sing anti manure songs! They used to drink in a pub about 5 minutes away from where i live a few years back too...their new album sucks though!

What is funny is that in a year or two we will hear how they were on drugs or in a blurry state of mind when they made this record. They will claim to be clean and say they are gonna revert back to their old records. The record will come out and it will be crap again. It happens every time these guys make a record.

I have liked the previous releases, but this one is just bad. I may never listen to it again. I am that disappointed. At least I got a 5 song EP with it from a concert in 1994 here in Chicago. That is the bright spot of this purchase.

Tom..sounds like when I bought zooropa by U2. Listened to it once and thought it was such a bunch of pretentious shite it has never seen the light of day since.

I think they need to bring back the old line-up and get rid of guys like Andy Bell (Hurricane #1) who I do like but isn't good for Oasis. Also the new drummer sucks.

They need to let Noel stick to the song writing as well.

Papa, they had the best drun=mmer in the world, in my humble opinion, and his brother is the drummer for Paul Weller. Two very talented brothers. I like Zack Starky, he's far more talented than his Dad, Ringo, and I've seen him drum for The Who which is no mean feat. However, you are right - he's not right for this album/band.

Talking of drummers, my favorite quote of alll time is when John Lennon was asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world. Lennon replied, " He's probably not even the best drummer in the Beatles!"
