DVR'ed the Pool-Inter game and have to give the Scousers credit to come out with a sense of purpose after the Barnsley debacle. A special shout out to the ref. for ruining the match for the casual fan by giving Materrazi that ridiculous first yellow (the ref must have a Zidane tatto on his arse). Once the second yellow came out the game came down to Liverpool trying to break through the bunkered down defence. Steven G's goal was a thing of beauty and gives his team a big edge on moving on.

It always frustrates me when a match i couldn't wait to see gets ruined by some awful red card. Both of the yellows were questionable and although Inter were not playing great at the time. It complety changed the course of the game. The second goal for Liverpool was huge, but like someone else said Inter is so tough at home. If they can get a goal in the first 30 minutes of that game, it will be game on.

Very heartbreaking stuff for Celtic today, but it was always going to be a tough task to hold down Barcelona. In all honesty, the scoreline doesn't do a lot of justice for Barca. They could have easily scored five or six, and the Hoops could have ended with no goals to their name.

It's a Mission Impossible now for Celtic, but stranger things have happened in football *cough*Lyon0-3Rangers*cough*

The wee ginger man better bring some elf dust with him to Camp Nou. It will take nothing short of a football miracle to save Celtic now. There was/is just so much firepower on that Barca squad, and they do not seem to get nearly as tired as the Scottish Club. (Hell of a goal by Robson to make it 2-1 Celtic at the half though.)

    Still, 'Mon the Bhoys!

    For now, however, COYW!!!

Excellent road performance by Barcelona. It's really rough timing for Celtic as much as anything - Barca have been out of sync for much of the year with just about everybody missing time for injuries at some point or other, and yesterday saw Messi AND Henry AND Deco AND Ronaldinho AND Eto'o AND Iniesta AND Xavi all on the field and playing effectively. (Not simultaneously, of course, but still.) If those guys can stay healthy and keep the same performance up, they could go far in this competition and maybe even cut into Madrid's lead in La Liga.
