That assist is beautiful.

 

That last 20’minutes and the 12 minutes of stoppage of Citeh and Athletico was a spectacle (an entertaining one tho’) Citeh took a page out of Athleti’s playbook and started rolling around and time wasting and of course Simeone & his players turned it into affront of their sensibilities. There were scrums during and into the tunnel after (Grealish getting his hair pulled was funn). I will give credit to Athleti, they drag you into the mud and make a brawl out of it to great effect. They played the Mancs for 150 minutes parking the bus, then pushed the envelope late and were really close to tying it on multiple chances. Probably should’ve come out of their shell sooner.

 

The final was somewhat anti-climatic, given the situation with some Scouser supporters not being able to get in. Who knows what really happened, but how do you justify tear gassing kids and their parents?
