    Que: Rant.
This has been on my mind for 13 years.
I objected to the current FFC badge at the time.
But it didn't seem worth making a prolonged fuss about.
Once MAF had made the change he wasn't going to go back.
That silly MJ statue just compounded matters.
And fair play to Shahi Khan, two months in and he pulled it down.
I got so much abuse at work for that statue.
And like the statue, the current badge has NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR CLUB.
I have not spent a penny on Fulham merchandise with that badge since 2001.
Only on match tickets, programmes and overpriced refreshments.
Now it seems that our new owner is a sensible man.
If he's savvy enough to take down the statue maybe he'll be open to changing the badge?
I know there's a trademark issue with Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
Maybe the club could redesign the badge based on the old one but slightly different.
By all means simplify it for mass brand appeal, just keep the identity.

Is this the time to start a campaign to bring back the old badge?

You raise a good point Westchester. Now that MAF is gone maybe this is a good time to revisit the FFC badge. I dont hate the current one. There is something simple and slick about it, but on other hand I cant stop thinking "nazi christmas tree". However, some of the old badges, like this one, I think are too busy.

I dont know if this one was ever an acutal Fulham badge, but I like it.

I like this one also but I'm not sure about the swords. What do they have to do with Fulham? Sheffield United having swords is understandable but I dont know why Fulham ever had them in their badge. If there is no historical reason then it seems kind of silly

I do like that one also Mo. I would imagine that licensing and trademark issues are in play, but if selling jerseys is the goal, I think having both the new and old available would be the smart business decision.

Yeah, not sure if the old badge is doable with the trademark issues. I really like the second one Mo posted too. Think it represents FFC pretty well.

I'm sure that since 1879, every generation of Fulham supporters looks at a new badge and yearns for the old one. This syndrome really has nothing to do with the relative appearance of the badges, rather it's all about the complainer yearning for his youth. I have no desire to change the badge because I know there's another generation of Fulham supporters for whom our current badge is THEIR badge.

You guys aren't going to be young again -- badge or no.

Now, if there's something I miss from the old days, it's 10 bob to get into the standing enclosures, half-time tea so thin you could read your program through, and a pint for 1s 9d after the match -- not to mention about 80 lb less me!
