Brede Hangeland citizenship?

I do not know if this has been posted before (I did a search and could not find anything) but I just discovered that Brede Hangeland was born in Houston, Texas. Does he have dual citizenship, US and Norwegian?

 

If Norway allows dual citizenship than I'm sure he has dual citizenship. I believe he does because I have seen him on one of the sites or forums like yanks abroad that tracks American soccer players. From a soccer perspective this is all meaningless since he cant play for anyone other than Norway now. His being born in Houston just gives us all more reason to enjoy the monster wall in FFC's back line.
