Ironic... a big loss for Ohio Football tradition, as well.

Um, the bookies just crapped themselves.

On a more respectful note, if you are a college football fan, whether you love, hate or are somewhere in between on Michigan, you have to respect what a huge contribution Bo and his Michigan teams were to the fabric of College Football.

I can see it now... after Bo's father and mother, there will be Woody... shaking his fist:

"You sunnuva ... you did it again!"

As a native Michiganian, I always look for ward to the Michigan-Ohio State game and Bo was a big part of that. It's sad he didn't live to see tomorrow's game.

He was a legendary coach of a legendary program, he will be remembered in the annals of Michigan and college football as a whole. My condolences to his family and friends.

I don't follow either of the two programs, but I'm sure the loss is a massive one. R.I.P. Bo.

As a Michigan Alum, I'll offer my very first post on FUSA. Bo is a legend and a hero here in Ann Arbor. The Coach Emeritus of Michigan Football! I shed a tear for him today with everyone else in town and I can tell you he will be missed. For his protege Lloyd Carr (current michigan coach) this is a huge lose.

Now go out and win one for Bo, a true Michigan Man. Go Blue

Some are convinced this is all part of a master plan. They had Bo on ice for 6 months, a la "Weekend at Bernie's", and only now anounce his death before the BIG GAME.

this is a pointy football thing, right?

Ah, I miss the old pre-BCS days when the team that won the only meaningful Big-10 [Michigan/OSU] game would go to the Rose Bowl and lose to a Pac-10 team rated 12 places below them by 27 points in a "stunning upset." OH-VER-RA-TED!

I don't follow big time college football; I support the Maryland Terrapins.

If things go according to plan for Maryland over the next couple of weeks, they might find themselves in a BCS game. The Terrapins have turned around their program in the last five or six years. You would think Frank Reich is quarterbacking them but he is not.

Yeah; who'd a thunk it. Fridgen wins 8-9 games a year and they want to elect him king of Maryland.

The guy 80 miles north of here [Austin] wins 8-9 games a year and they want to lynch him.

    Go figger.
