I bought my daughter 2 tickets for the Spurs match this Saturday(Jan. 20). The weather is going to be nasty so the walk from Putney Station to Craven Cottage is going to be worse than nasty. From central London is there a 'best' way to get to Craven Cottage without dying?
    Thanks,
    Scott

Putney Bridge Underground is ther closest, you could get a bus from there but you would still have to walk down one of the local streets anyway so there wouldn't be much point getting a bus for about half a mile, otherwise it's a Taxi.

My standard answer to this question is "drunk" but that probably isn't appropriate in this case. However, as you may well now know it was a beautiful sunny day in the end.

I thought the standard answer was "practice, practice, practice."
