I realize it's out of the gossip section, so the validity is suspect at best, but it made me wonder. Would you really want your club owned by the Bin Laden's? If memory serves, some members of the family spoke out against his actions, but regardless, just the connotation of the name...I'd have to think I'd rather not.

Of course, the same could be said of Chelski and Citeh's respective owners to a degree.

Osama was disowned by his family for his views.. or at least his methods.

I understand the sentiment, though. If true this will not help curb the alarming shift toward anti-muslim sentiment in the UK. Which Don often claims I share, though I dont.

I don't believe in the tenets of the BNP in any way shape or form, yet the fascists are gaining great voter sentiment exactly because of government PC policies.

I really saddens me that the UK is viewed in this way, I live in one of the most multi-culutral places on the planet. There are pockets of people who have a bad life and can be galvernised behind a banner of hatred, but for the most part, the support is small. I certainly don percieve an "alarming shift" in the UK.

BWT Our own chairman has a very colourful past and is a Muslim. I should think the Bin-Laden's are of much better character than Mr Al-Fayed.

Yes, wasn't he an arms dealer at one time? We still love him though. I just hope he's finished paying for lawyers and is ready to pay for a striker.
