    Let the scoreboard watching begin!! Heading into today’s showdown at Brighton, we did get some good news yesterday. Citeh thrashing WBA kept the Baggies in 19th, but there is a 5th team now in the relegation fray. Newcastle is 7 points ahead of Fulham, but they’ve played 2 more matches.

    Not sure what a reporter can ask the manager after ManU destroys his Southampton side 9-0, but it shouldn’t be this:
    Q: you lost 9-0, how do you feel?
    A: Superb, how do you think I feel?...

    :confused::confused:

    13 matches left, and trailing Newcastle by 6 pts. Taking a look at the fixture list, the Geordies visit CC on the final day of the season. Currently Fulham has a +3 GD on Newcastle, so if we can maintain that and gain 3 points in the next 12 games, we’ll have everything to play for that last day. In other words: KEEP the FAITH!!

    I was about to give some sense of Fulham's crappy odds for avoiding relegation, being the C-3PO to SoCalJoe's Solo, but instead I'll just be quiet so as to not discourage the faithful.

    Craven Cottage could be at one-quarter capacity for the final match versus Newcastle in May. Yet another layer of intrigue in Fulham's quest to stay up.

    Gotta say, without even a hint of bias, that our crowd for Liverpool was, by far, the liveliest, most impactful of all the attended matches during the previous short COVID respite.

    How cruel is football?? Brighton had 75% possession (felt like 95% of the time in CP’s half), 25 shots, Palace 2 shots, 2 goals (both sublime, one a back heel, and the other a Benteke volley deep in stoppage) in a 1-2 Brighton loss. They would’ve been gravely disappointed w/a draw, a loss has to be a gut punch. Cameras caught Roy laughing at the absurdity of it all. Brighton only 1 point ahead of Newcastle.

    Many of the teams around Fulham had discouraging results this weekend that I can only hope dampens their spirit going forward. As mentioned, tonight Brighton had a heartbreaking loss with just seconds to go in stoppage time. Newcastle has fully come the the realization that they are in danger after the loss to Manchester United. Then Burnley and West Brom managed to have a draw that was equally discouraging for both - Burnley wasn't able to score playing over a half with a man advantage but West Brom had clear chances to win that they couldn't put away (if you didn't watch those highlights go check them out, I can't figure out how they didn't score).

    Ah Oh Brighton :D They missed 2 PKs (one off the crossbar and one off the post) in a 1-0 loss at WBA. They’ve officially been dragged back into the relegation fray.

    Project 17th was always gonna be a bumpy ride. Brighton-Newcastle game result obviously important. If we are being honest Newcastle is the team we need to catch, Brighton is a better team. Late on and Brighton winning 3-0. Let’s hope for another one or it ends right there to pick up 2 minimum on the GD.
