    There was a lot of unrest at Sociedad, with the new president coming in and setting his own agenda, which clashed with Cookie's views on the team. In situations like these, the manager will almost always take the fall (or in his case, dive off before they could push him off).

    Hopefully he finds another job which will provide more stability.
