    Below is a link to a great article from FoxSports.com where the writer picks non-soccer playing American professional athletes and puts them into a starting XI on the pitch.

    The thought of Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson up front as strikers would be something else. Some of the defenders include Brian Urlacher and Troy Palamalu. Quite interesting to wonder what if some of the best athletes did play soccer. Anyways, here is the link:

    I always wondered what would happen if someone like, oh I don't know, Michael Jordan would have taken up soccer. We're pretty much the only nation in the world that turns out 6'5" + guys with sprinter speed, agility, and leaping ability. Who could stay with us if we could get more of our pure athletes to take up fitba?
