Grant Wahl wrote a nice article summarizing the state of the search for the new USMNT coach: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/grant_wahl/09/22/coach.search/index.html I'd like to see Klinsmann. He's got the energy, the US connections and the recent success. I really think we should avoid a US coach this time around.
Sooner or later, he'll be coaching for U.S. (I hope). http://msn.foxsports.com/soccer/story/6 ... 2&ATT=2737
There was a lot of talk during the NYRB/DCU match yesterday that made it sound like a done deal that: a. we're doing the Copa America b. Klinsmann is in c. Sigi is his right hand THESE rumors I could go for.
That's great and the signs definitely point to JK coming on with US. The ONLY reason I can think of for the HC to not have been named yet. Bradley would be great addition, too... Klinsmann can cross-pollinate with him as Bradley does the best job of all the domestic managers in dealing with head cases {Razov}. Sigi used to be mentioned as Asst, but he shot himself in the foot in Columbus and he has unfinished business here, anyway. He might consult.. but how does Asst work since he used to supervise JK?
