...starts next week with an away trip to Wales to face Cardiff City. Not the easiest of trips to start the campaign. Seems to have crept up on me this year and I don't have a competent grasp on what the squad on the pitch will look like next week. The current first team is set forth on Fulham FC: http://www.fulhamfc.com/first-team/player-profiles

I'm sure a few faces will change in the next couple of weeks. Below is a link to a Fulham FC video regarding Kit speaking 'promotion is the goal.' I damn well hope so.

As long as it is not Attack of the Clones, I'm good.

So you're saying some episodes of Barca TV will be on next weekend then.

I thought we cleaned out a bit more than we apparently have. Amorebieta is still around (I forgot that we only loaned him out at the end of last season)... Mitroglou is still around... I forgot about those guys.

Sadly, the defenders section is all too familiar. I don't know how we'll improve on our woeful defense with (basically) the same cast of characters.

Anyone know if George Williams is fully recovered yet? I'd like to see more of him on the pitch.

Been monitoring his Twitter page. Don't know how close he is, but he did go to Austria, unlike Parker, so have to believe he's getting close.

It's worth examining the history of Garbutt's loan as covered on England-based Fulham FC forums. It's a perfect example of how supporters think.

Stage 1: We need Garbutt, but the board will never go after him. They're so clueless and have no ambition..
Stage 2: Garbutt is signed; are our LB problems solved? Did we sign him because we're too stupid to get a center back or center mid?
Stage 3: Garbutt performs unexceptionally in a friendly; I can't believe how the club wasted a squad position on this loser. Our defense is worse than last years.
Stage 4: Garbutt is injured and will miss a couple of months; our savior is injured. We're relegated for sure.

Once again, the greatest player is the one we're rumored to be interested in. He remains a great player until he turns out for us. And so it goes.
