2007 / 2008 Champions League Draw

    The draw was held today and the results:

    Group A: Liverpool, Porto, Marseille, Besiktas

    Group B: Chelsea, Valencia, Schalke 04, Rosenborg

    Group C: Real Madrid, Werder Bremen, Lazio, Olympiakos

    Group D: AC Milan, Benfica, Celtic, Shakhtar Donetsk

    Group E: Barcelona, Lyon, VfB Stuttgart, Rangers

    Group F: Manchester United, Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Dynamo Kiev

    Group G: Internazionale, PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce

    Group H: Arsenal, Sevilla or AEK Athens, Steaua Bucharest, Slavia Prague

    Tough draw for the Celts, but it sure beats being included in Rangers' group. They've got about a 1% chance of advancing, if that.

    By the way, why do the Gooners always get the easiest of draws at this stage?

    Group E... The two sides that I would like to see advance out of that group have an ice cube's chance in hell. (Stuttgart and Rangers) One of them could surprise Barcelona or Lyon, but I highly doubt it.

    Can't wait for the group stage to get started. Can't think of a better way to take up a boring Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon than to watch the top clubs in Europe battle it out on the pitch.
