Reason I ask is a ref was stretchered off after being hit in the face by the corner flag during a collision during the Brum-Wigan match today. I happened to catch the end of the match and saw it happen, and for the life of me I have no idea how that would make a man go down like he was shot, much less need to be stretchered off.
