I thought we looked likelier with Elm and Zamora upfront as Erik Nevland's continued offsides play disrupted our build-up, particularly in the first half. Of course, this could have been because Murphy had more space in the second half because the Villa were content to left us chase when up 0-2, but is worth considering in future team selection in my view. Talking of views, I did not have a good vantage for either the first Villa goal or the offsides goal in the 76d minute, so Villa supporters were right: I "only sing when (I am) offsides!"

How in the world is any of this Zamora's fault?

You badly need another line, Martin.

And I also thought that this was the best we've looked in a long time. We are seriously fucked without our Pants, and that's a fact. We look disjointed, but Hughes had a good game, Schwarzer looked sharper, Murphy had a dominating 2nd half, and Duff looked better than he has in the league since the Chelsea match.

Riise proved he's not good enough for the Prem, and I'm beginning to see what all the crying about Kelly is. Elm looked promising, and Gera looked ggood coming off the bench. I'm sick about Davies. I'm afraid we might not ever see him in his best mode again. A great player who could really help us.

Zamora is getting stronger and won a ton of first balls today. What hurt us was that Villa's very competent back four -- maybe the second best in the league behind The Filth? -- won almost all the second balls. We really miss Deuce's creativity, but we REALLY miss Johnny Paintsil and PK.

We've got a couple of good home matches coming up and we'll be fine, but -- just as I said in August -- if we're going to make it to Europe this season, it's going to be because of the FA Cup. We've no hope of finishing 6th, and with 3 of the big 4 out of the FA Cup, it's doubtful that there'll be a 7th place entry again.

I stopped watching the game at around 37 min because I had to take my son to his indoor game. When we arrive at the field, I go to the bar to make sure they have the game on only to see the halftime highlights of two Villa goals. I didnt have the greatest look but why is no-one complaing about Schwarzer? Did he not just fall backward into the goal with the ball in his hands?

So instead of giving up on Fulham, I decide to stay in the bar and watch an obstructed view of my sons game. He then proceeds to have the worst game of his life and Fulham never do manage to score. Very bad day overall. This is why Woy warned us about Euwope.

While I think Ellm has made an impact in his last two sub appearances, where the heck is Kamara? We needed some speed up front.

We reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally miss Dempsey -- two games in a row with minimal creativity in the midfield.

Credit to Agbonlahor -- he had an excellent game, and not all of that can be passed off on the failings of the back four.

Not so concerned about Europe next year, no one even mentioned it until April last year, it's great to be there, but if we don't make it, I don't think that will be a poor season. I would still like to think that a top 10 finish is in the cards. At full strength, we are definitely good enough. As it is now, it's still a reachable goal.

Watching the game it was painfully obvious we really miss our wing-backs, Paintsil and Konchesky. We don't overlap on the wings like we should and can't sustain an attack. Fulham isn't built to counter because we don't have the speed. I think we'll have more painful games like this until we get our speed back up front or Paintsil and K in the back.

First of all Don I never said it was Zamoras fault I clearly made a statement to which I standby and that is "Zamora is a fcuking joke", we will have to disagree with how we each see Zamora as a player, to me he is a joke, does not make chances (and as a striker should) and contibutes NOTHING to make Fulham a better team, overall I thought this game was a practice match we didnt compete we didnt create any chances and to me a complete JOKE, we allowed Villa to totally dominate the whole game, remember Villa hadnt scored any away goals for about 4 I think they said and yet they scored two easy goals against Fulham. We sucked against AS and that was against a 10 man non league side, thankfully and I HOPE We can pull ourselves back and get enough points to stay in this league.

I thought Zamora definitely 'looked tentative'.

Woah we're back to saying z-bird sucks?

Martin, watch some gametape in December. Zamora was phenomenal in the triangle with Gera and Demps.

And he has been tentative lately because he just got rushed back from a broken collarbone. Last time I checked he was supposed to be out until march.

This month sure sucked fellas. But just think back to two years ago.
