oh goodie, another senator whose job it is to do absolutely nothing while the country swirls down the drain. Can't help the country if it means that the president might get some of the credit. That wouldn't be patriotic!

    No, don...
The people arent as dumb as all that. That's why this election is important.

This was MA and these people vote Democrat. And even the Coakley voters want to send a message with this
    Watch this and learn.

Note that I pretend Don really doesnt understand what's going on, that he's just a good-hearted goofball who's been 'misled'.

Maybe we should re-start This thread, now

Good news. If the dems aren't going to use their majority, then they deserve to lose it. Here's hoping for a conservative won in November.

If nothing else, it shows that the GOP has done a better job of selling the problems with "Obamacare" than the Dems have done of selling the benefits.

As someone who is heavily pro-health care reform and has no problem with goverrnment involvement in health care, I must admit that I have significant issues with Obama's plan. i.e., the vision is good, but the implementation is doomed to failure, IMO.

Hopefully, instead of giving up, Obama and the Dem leadership go back to the drawing board and propose a better plan.

Perhaps Andy, you might look at the details.
Name government intervention in health care, so far, that works well. VA, Medicare, Medicaid.
Explain why physicians are starting to run away from Medicare and how the proposed cuts to medicare improve that care. Oh, you CAN - in theory- but you cant look at the big picture and show why someone should spend all that money and time to become a doc, then practice under those restrictions.

Explain where the actual increases in costs come from in relation to those systems.
Explain where the restrictions actually occur: Think there's a problem where every state imposes their own thresholds, i.e.; their own insurance plans? Think the costs of malpractice insurance have an effect on patient costs? Consider the costs of diagnostic testing while doing that?

Ever connect the dots on why Canadians use the US health system as a last resort?

Oh, I'm no pollyanna for free market heath care. There WILL be a need for 'health care rationing', by some means. But dont fool yourself into thinking that the poor uninsured are EVER going to get the same timely and effective health services that those GM union members now receive.

Just AINT gonna happen. Doesnt happen in UK, doesnt happen in Canada, and SURE's hell aint gonna happen under any Democrat proposal. They've already exempted themselves and their support groups.
    Back to the topic:
You might, while you're thinking about that, consider that Coakley was attending a fund raiser in DC while Scott was receiving on-line donations amounting to a money bomb. Then look up WHO was sponsoring and attending that Coakley fund raiser.

    Very Alinskyesque.
