After last week's debacle, not going to bother with a long drawn out preview. It's away from CC which generally spells trouble. WIll the squad respond with pride? Conspiracy theories about the Scousers apology to Fulham being a prelude to some sort of Jordan Henderson move are out there (don't really rate him, does anyone have a different view on him?). No prediction, just hope to see the Fulham that was at the Emirates and the Dog Track and not the one that was at Stoke or QPR, but not exactly optimistic.

Well, if the game happens, then there is no Mayan Doomsday. So that's a plus. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

We're gonna lose this game [yes, yes, we're gonna lose this game]
We're gonna LOSE this ga-ame [yes, yes, we're gonna lose this game]
    We're gonna lose-o-o-o-o-ose this game.

    I'm sorry, John

OTOH, I should be able to do the View From South Texas Debacle Report on a timely basis for a change

No reason at all to be optimistic for this one...which is why we'll SHOCK THE WORLD with a result! 1-3 ffc, Stocky starts and nearly gets clean sheet, and
scousers continue their wretched home form. Merry Christmas to us!

Yep no optimism for me either. After the last performance, I'm not expecting much. Hoping for an early Xmas gift though! :eek:bscene-drinkingbuddies:

This is going to be the first match I actually see live in quite a while- as I was either out of town or at work for the last few- and other than the Newcastle match, which I watched later on DVR, I sadly didn't miss much. So I'm still alive and will be in the chatroom. But hopefully lower standards equal pleasant surprises. I'm holding out for a 1-1 draw, with a late equalizer by Berbatov (it seems like forever since he's scored, which is frustrating because he's played well).

Well that sucked....again. I'd say something insightful about what is wrong but I'm a bit too apathetic these days.

Yeah, that was pretty brutal. Although, it was nice to be back in FUSA Chat for a match again. I think the last time I was in there was the Arsenal match- which (except for the blip vs. Newcastle) was the last time we were in really good form. Hopefully, Southampton at the Cottage will cure our ills and we can share points with Swansea and end the year on a high note, at least. But yeah, Heather's smiley face is very accurate...

Never have I been happier to procrastinate on Christmas like I was this morning. Fighting traffic, parking in the mall boondocks, lines galore, beats what Fulham fans had to endure. Lifeless, gutless, heartless from the sounds of it. The squad is thin to begin with, and the injuries are piling up, but how about showing some grit and fight?? Have the players tuned out MJ? After 180 minutes of the worst football imaginable it's put up or shut up time on Boxing Day.

Excellent 'View' as always HD, I would imagine that your poor keyboard took a beating during your venting session. However, I do have a request for the Holidays which unfortunately you don't have much control over and that is a 'View' that is filled with glowing words about team unity, precision, toughness, great finishing, all the while keeping the author's blood pressure at a decent reading. Too much to ask I know, but tis the season...
