Sickening. My stomach sank and my eyes welled up when I heard the news. I'm still distraught at the thought of the families who won't have their son or daughter, or wife or husband, come home tonight. My heart goes out to the victims and families. Thoughts and prayers all around.

Somehow earlier in the day I got the impression only one kid was wounded and maybe an adult died. Terrible news but not that much out of the ordinary. Then I came home to see my 12 yr old watching the news and telling me 18 had died. Seconds later it was 27 had died, mostly children. This is the definition of incomprehensible. With the Chardon shootings I knew kids who were there, I knew people who knew the victims that had died and I felt grief. As far as I know, I dont know anyone remotely involved in these shootings so all I feel is pure unadulterated anger. I seriously wish I could go forward or backward in time and pull a Liam Neelson from Taken on all of these deranged or self-upsorbed SOBs who somehow think something gives them the excuse to kill children, or any random person.

I just couldn't get a lot of sleep last night just thinking about how someone, no matter how disturbed they may be, could do something like that. I can only imagine the pain of the victims' family and friends. My heart goes out to them.

Just once, I wish one of those assholes would eliminate the middleman and kill himself FIRST.
