Roy Hodgson has been a magician for Fulham. How far up the table do you think he can take them? And once there, do you think Mohammed Al Fayed will make the necessary investments to keep them there? I honestly think Fulham have some unique qualities that could make them appealing to many in sustaining a mid-top of the table position. Could be in the best interest of the league, as well as the team. Tuesday December 15, 2009 15:37 WhitesBhoy

15:39 I am a big fan of Roy Hodgson, what he has done with limited resources at Fulham is remarkable. Last season he got the club inot Europe and if they win in Basel in midweek go into the next phase of the UEFA Cup.

15:41 I certainly think Fulham can finish in the top half this season but as for the investment to push on I'm not sure that will come. Long gone are the days when Fayed spent millions to help out Tigana and Keegan... money seems a little tight of late.

Who do you see going down this year? Tuesday December 15, 2009 15:42 timmyg

15:43 Well answering this question will make me unpopular. I think we all expect Portsmouth to go down and given the reports of financial troubles at Fratton Park it would be no surprise.

15:44 My second choice might surprise a few people. I think West Ham United have a look of the team that "was too good to go down" in 2002/03 and was eventually relegated. They don't look likely to get any new players in January either, in fact they might lose some.

15:46 I'm going to sit on the fence a bit for the final place and say either Wolves or Hull. Wolves have a tough few fixtures to come that will drop them back into the bottom three and Hull are just not the same without Jimmy Bullard.

Way too early in the AM for the west coast.

As to who is going down... I am not so sure on West Ham - by my accounting there are 6-8 clubs that could be in the mix and one of the spots is already locked up by Ports...

I dont see West Ham being one of the other 2 because I would put several other clubs below them - Wigan, Bolton, Wolves, Hull.

Yes - Wolves just picked up 6 points, but I dont see them keeping that up. Bolton may pick up the points to get them to safety with the new manager bump. Hull is not good enough and Jimmy being out is a problem. Wigan is so inconsistent...

I hope the other end of the table continues to provide some excitement with the mix of clubs fighting for 3-6.

And that should be "Join timmyg and ME" -- You wouldn't say, "Join I for a pint at the pub" would you?

Sorry, Christian. I had to rescue the title from "RE re Re RE RE" anyhow and thought I'd snark a little at you.
